Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Explore some commonly asked questions and useful information about our safe driver services.
What is a safe driver in Dubai?
A safe driver in Dubai is a trained, professional driver who comes to your location and drives your own car — not a rental — to your destination. It’s the right choice when you can’t drive, don’t want to drive, or don’t want to leave your car behind at a venue.
Why hire a safe driver instead of a taxi, Careem, or Uber?
Taxis and ride-hailing apps are fine when you only need a ride, but your car stays behind. Beam Safe Driver sends a professional driver to your location who drives your own vehicle home, so both you and your car end up safely where they belong — useful after dinners, weddings, airport pickups, or late nights out.
What is a designated driver or sober driver service?
A designated driver, or sober driver, is a professional who drives you and your own car home after you’ve been drinking, instead of leaving you to choose between driving impaired or leaving your vehicle at the venue overnight.
What happens if I'm caught drink-driving in Dubai instead of booking a safe driver?
The UAE has a zero-tolerance policy on drink-driving. Being caught with any detectable alcohol while driving can lead to jail time, fines reported as high as AED 20,000 or more, and suspension of your driving licence — on top of the risk to yourself and others on the road. Booking a safe driver avoids all of this, and your car still gets home with you.
How much does a safe driver cost in Dubai?
Beam Safe Driver’s on-demand rides start from AED 78 per trip. Hourly bookings (10 hours) start from AED 400, weekly hire (7 days, 10 hours a day) starts from AED 1,700, and monthly hire (5 days a week, 12 hours a day) starts from AED 4,500. Final pricing depends on distance, timing, waiting time, stops, and airport or inter-emirate travel — Beam isn’t the cheapest option on the market, but confirms pricing upfront before the driver is sent.
Can I rent a driver by the hour, week, or month?
Yes. Beam offers hourly, weekly, and monthly driver hire, so you can book support for a single busy day, a short-term need, or an ongoing arrangement without hiring a full-time staff driver.
Can I hire a personal driver for just one day?
Yes — book the on-demand, per-ride service for single trips, or an hourly package if you need the driver for multiple stops across one day.
How do I book a safe driver with Beam?
Call or WhatsApp +971 56 261 1439 with your pickup location, destination, car details, and preferred timing. Beam confirms driver availability and price before the driver is sent to your exact pickup point — a hotel, mall, airport, school, garage, or event venue.
How far in advance do I need to book, and can I book last-minute or at night?
Beam Safe Driver takes bookings 24/7 by phone and WhatsApp, including same-day and late-night requests. One customer review describes booking an airport transfer with just one hour’s notice for four passengers and their luggage — for planned trips like weddings or flights, booking a little earlier still helps guarantee driver availability.
Do I need a UAE driving licence to book a safe driver for my car?
No — since the Beam driver is the one driving, you don’t need a valid UAE licence yourself to use the service. Your vehicle should have valid UAE registration and insurance, and any RTA-related documents should be in order before pickup.
Is it legal for someone else to drive my car in Dubai, and will my insurance still cover it?
UAE traffic law allows another licensed driver to drive your car with your permission. Insurance coverage for an authorized driver varies by policy, so it’s worth checking with your insurer whether your comprehensive policy covers ‘any authorized driver’ or names specific drivers only. Beam’s drivers hold valid UAE driving licences either way.
How do I know my driver is trustworthy and properly vetted?
Beam’s drivers are licensed, experienced professionals — several with 10 to 20+ years driving across Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi — and customer reviews on Google reference specific drivers by name. If trust is a priority, look for a safe driver company with verifiable reviews, licensed drivers, and transparent pricing, rather than an unverified individual.
What safety standards do Beam's drivers follow?
Beam’s drivers hold a valid UAE driving licence, know local traffic laws, drive defensively at safe speeds, avoid distractions, and communicate pickup and route details clearly before and during the trip.

Do you offer outsourced driver services for companies?
Yes, Beam supports corporate clients with outsourced driver services, including office pickup and drop-off, client transport, and monthly packages for teams that need reliable transport without managing an in-house fleet.
Which is the best safe private driver service in Dubai?
The right choice comes down to verified experience, clear pricing, fast response times, and area coverage. Beam Safe Driver’s team includes drivers with up to 20 years of experience across Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi, with transparent WhatsApp booking and pricing confirmed before pickup.
Is tipping expected for a safe driver in Dubai?
Tipping isn’t mandatory in the UAE, but it’s a common and appreciated gesture for good service, including for drivers. It’s entirely at your discretion.
